Mamazzita Gastrobar Orlando: Interior Design by Yumilka Soto
Quick Answer
Mamazzita Gastrobar in Orlando, Florida was designed by Yumilka Olivi Soto, founder and principal designer of Visual Studio Plus. The restaurant and lounge concept uses tropical luxury textures and specialized architectural finishes to create an upscale, immersive dining atmosphere.
The Brief: Tropical Luxury With Staying Power
Mamazzita called for a dining room that felt indulgent without tipping into theme-park tropical. The design used specialized architectural textures, carved wood, woven elements, and warm stone, to ground the space in a sense of place rather than novelty, so the room ages well as trends shift.
Design Approach
Material choice did the heavy lifting here. Rather than leaning on decor to signal a tropical mood, the architecture itself carries the texture: sculpted wall surfaces, natural materials, and a warm, low-glare lighting plan that keeps the room feeling intimate at a two-top and lively at a full communal table.
